We’re going to unify our forces to use a single platform. Of course it will be open-source. Of course, it will remain free ( our promise ).
To make it even more free than it’s now, we want to use Python.
To make it even nicer that it is now, we want to use Qt
Together it gives PyQt
To make it faster, we want to use C
To bind it to Python, we’ll probably need Cython or weave or ctypes
This alltogether gives the best PIV open-source freeware for scientific and industrial applications.
Tens of developers are waiting for this to start coding their own scripts, algorithms and plugins. For this we’ll need to think how to let people to add their stuff. This is still under discussion.
